27 May - Opportunities for Development Agencies in the next MFF (2021-2027)
“Opportunities for Development Agencies in the
next multiannual financial framework (2021-2027)”
Online - Thursday 27th of May 2021, from 10:00 to 12:00 (CET)
AGORADA is an annual conference organised since 1992 by the European Association of Development agencies. The goal of AGORADA 2021 is to analyse the main opportunities in programmes and initiatives established by the European Union multiannual financial framework for 2021-2027. This international conference will provide practical views to ensure that regional economic development practitioners will get the most of ongoing opportunities. We will hear first-hand about four main policies of the European Union in the field of economic development concerning the work of Regional Development Agencies.
This international conference gathers practitioners, experts, and policy makers to jointly discuss how each policy and program may influence the path of Regional Development Agencies across Europe, as well as direct the policies and decisions of the European Commission. Economic development policies encompass a very broad range of topics, from interregional and international cooperation to the challenges of climate change or the experimental innovation policies.
The AGORADA 2021 morning event will consist of a two-hour conference. During this conference we will deal with four different points:
The challenge of climate change through the New European Bauhaus
Interregional cooperation and the Interregional Innovation investment initiative (I3)
International cooperation and the International Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC)
Experimental innovation policy in Europe and the Innovation Growth Lab
Each of the topics will be developed by representatives of the European Commission specialised in the field, always introduced by a discussant member of EURADA to provide a practical vision.
AGORADA fosters solution-oriented exchange, enables networking, and brings local and regional agents of development closer to the EU institutions and opportunities
SCOPE OF THE EVENT
First and foremost, this event should provide regional practitioners a complete overview of the main opportunities contained in the upcoming EU programmes for Development Agencies. The unique concentration of high-level guests from European institutions, umbrella organisations, consultancies, and Development Agencies and companies makes this international conference an event with an enormous potential impact.
AGORADA is designed to deliver in one day what the participants and their institutions can normally only achieve through weeks of work. AGORADA is a unique opportunity for development agencies and related ecosystems to exchange knowledge and network.
